Creative Studios & Band Rehearsal in Chicago

Kreate Hub Chicago is located in Chicago’s historic West Town community, in the Smith Park neighborhood, on a property with more than a century of industrial and creative history. The site was once part of the Nelson Brothers Furniture complex, a major Chicago furniture business whose headquarters, showroom, and warehouse operations occupied the surrounding Grand Avenue and Superior Street properties. In 1998, the building began a new chapter as Superior Street Studios, becoming home to generations of Chicago musicians, bands, performers, and other creatives. Today, Kreate Hub is proud to carry that legacy forward with a broader vision, creating an affordable and vibrant community for artists, musicians, makers, entrepreneurs, technologists, and creative professionals. Through private studios, collaborative spaces, events, workshops, and community programming, Kreate Hub Chicago is building on the property’s long history of making, creating, and innovation while shaping its next chapter.

Creative studio memberships start at $500 per month, with availability and pricing varying by studio. Studio memberships begin with a 9 month minimum commitment. After the initial term, memberships continue month to month and may be canceled with 60 days’ written notice.

Kreate Hub Chicago
& its Neighborhood

Kreate Hub Chicago sits on West Superior Street in the West Town community, beside Smith Park and within easy reach of Ukrainian Village, Noble Square, Humboldt Park, Wicker Park and the West Loop. CTA bus routes along Chicago Avenue, Division Street and Grand Avenue connect the area to the Blue Line and downtown, and the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) is a short drive east. It is a working, mixed-use part of the city with a long industrial and creative history, and a practical base for artists, makers, musicians, technologists and creative businesses.
